Ranchi: For the last two years para teachers have been demanding from the government to give them a pay scale on the lines of the Bihar model. After recovering Jaggarnath Mahto as soon as he took over the charge of the department again, the Education Minister got busy resolving the problem of para teachers.
It was believed that by August, the Bihar model of para teachers would be implemented in Jharkhand. But after the change of director of Jharkhand Education Project Council, Shailesh Kumar Chaurasia the matter has gone into cold storage. Now once again the para teachers have given an ultimatum to the government.
The teachers have demanded the government to pay the pay scale by November 14, if the government does not give the pay scale by the due date, then 65000 para teachers will travel to Ranchi and camp here. Teachers said that by adopting the rules made on the Bihar model, the government should give their pay scale by getting it passed in the cabinet.
