Ranchi: Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Dr Ravi Ranjan administered the oath to Justice Subhash Chand on Tuesday. With his taking oath, the number of judges in the High Court has gone up to 20 whereas the sanctioned posts here are 25. He was transferred from Allahabad High Court to Jharkhand High Court on 11 October.
Justice Subhash Chand was sworn in as an Additional Judge in the Allahabad High Court on 16 September 2020. He did his Masters in Law in the year 1988. He practiced at Haridwar District Court from 1989 to May 2001. In May 2001, he was appointed to the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service.
On 4 January 2012, he contributed to the Higher Judicial Service. In the year 2016, he got promotion as District and Sessions Judge. Earlier in this month, the Jharkhand High Court had got four new judges as inform of Justice Gautam Kumar Choudhary, Justice Ambuj Nath, Justice Navneet Kumar and Justice Sanjay Prasad.
