Nidhi Khare writes to DCs asks to make sure that BDOs/Cos remain in headquarters

 

Ranchi, Apr 19: State’s Principal Secretary of the Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department has written a letter to the DCs to direct all the BDOs/Cos to remain in their headquarters.

 

She said that since the BDOs and the COs do not live in their areas the development oriented schemes are not being successfully executed or monitored due to which the service delivery system of the state government is hit and the state government has to bear the anger of the people and their elected representatives, therefore all the DCs will make sure that the directions are implemented do that schemes are successfully implemented.

 

Ms Khare has directed all the DCs to make sure that within 15 days the officials would live in the block and circle area offices and also make sure that without approval from the senior officials such BDOs and COs are not able to go on leave. She said that teh DCs would provide a list of such officials which do not live in their headquarters and said that a team by additional sessions judge should visit the headquarters at night and also make inspection to make sure that the allotted government vehicles are not misused for the personal use.

 

She said that such officials in special circumstance can leave the headquarters who have to participate in meetings of the committee/sub committee of the Vidhan Sabha or have to appear in legal matters. She said that disciplinary action would be taken against such officals who do not inform about their leave or send their leave applications late.
