NIA is interrogating four Naxalites including Politburo member of CPI Maoist

Ranchi:  NIA is interrogating four big Naxalites in the case of reviving the CPI Maoist organization. These include CPI Maoist’s Politburo members Pramod Mishra, Anil Yadav, Pramod Yadav and Rohit Rai.

NIA investigation has indicated that several frontal organizations and student wings were tasked with motivating, recruiting cadres and propagating the ideology of Maoist with the intention of waging a war against the Government of India. They were plotting terror and violence to further this agenda. 

The investigation also revealed that Pramod Mishra was leading Maoist cadres and supporters, over ground workers, in efforts to revive the CPI Maoist organization. Pramod Mishra is originally a resident of Kasma village of Rafiganj police station area of Aurangabad district of Bihar. Saranda was his workplace for a long time. 

Before his arrest, he was busy strengthening the Maoists in Chhakarbandha on the Jharkhand-Bihar border. Pramod Mishra was included in the Naxalite organization as a Central Committee member in the year 2004. He was made a Politburo member in the year 2007. He was arrested on May 11, 2008 from Vinod Nagar in Dhanbad district. He was released by the court in 2017 due to lack of evidence. After this he became active again in the area. He is considered the mastermind of attacks on police and several massacres.
