Ranchi: BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi Sunday held a press conference at the state BJP office and exposed the growing anger of the people against the state government. He said that during the campaign for Dumri by-election, he communicated directly through public meetings and contacts in all the blocks and divisions. It clearly emerged that people want change, people want to get rid of the present government.
He said that the law and order situation has completely deteriorated in the present government of about three and a half years. He said that corruption is at its peak in the state, which has the protection of the state government.
The public has become convinced that corruption cannot stop under the present government. Regarding law and order, he mentioned the incident that took place in Jamshedpur Court two days ago and said that the High Court had to take strict cognizance of this.
He said that even before this, the High Court had given instructions while commenting strongly on the legal system of Jharkhand. He said that law and order will deteriorate only when the police is weak. Today the public has realized that the police in the state is promoting wrongdoings, extorting money and protecting criminals.
He said that the people are fed up with such a corrupt and useless government and have made up their mind for change. He said that with the blessings of the public, NDA candidate Yashoda Devi will win the Dumri by-election with huge votes and a new dawn will come in Jharkhand.
He said that women in the village are being threatened to have their ration cards canceled if they vote for NDA. He alleged that he state government wants to create an atmosphere of fear and wants to influence the elections on the power of terror.
