Sahebganj: A middle-aged man murdered his wife and grandson in Ghoday Pokhar village under Barharwa Police Station area of this district and later committed suicide himself.
The deceased have been identified as Nakul Das (55) his wife Vandana Saha (45) and grandson Jeet Kumar Mandal (13). Upon receiving information Barharwa DSP Pramod Kumar Mishra reached on the spot along with other policemen.
The DSP said that initial investigation has revealed over family feud Nakul Das had killed his wife and grandson. Police said that Nakul Das and his wife use to live in the back area of the house of his daughter and son-in-law. The grandchildren use to sleep with their grandparents.
In the wee hours of the day today, Nakul Das murdered his wife and his grandson. His granddaughter who was also sleeping in the same room raised an alarm however before her parents to come to the man consumed poison and committed suicide.
Police quoting family members said that Nakul Das use to consume liquor and often use to fight with his wife. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Further probe was on.
