Members of Tana Bhagat community to get Rs 2000 per year for buying clothes: Chief Minister

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday announced that his government will pay Rs 2000 per year to members of Tana Bhagat Community to buy clothes.

Addressing a function after inaugurating a guest house for the Tana Bhagat in Banhora he said that it in the manner in which the government staff get uniform allowance similarly once in a year the members of the community will get Rs 2,000 for buying clothes.

The Chief Minister said that he was extremely happy by inaugurating the newly constructed guest house for the members of the community and asked to keep it well maintained.

The Chief Minister said that after 20 years a government has come into power which is aware of the pains and suffering of the people. He said that the government it is working as to how it can provide a better and happy life to the people of the state and assured that in the days to come changes will be witnessed in development of the state.

Hemant Soren said that everyone is aware regarding the history of Jharkhand as the forefathers had struggled for it and underwent pain and suffering but now when the responsibility has come on his shoulders he toi has understood the real meaning of the struggle. The Chief Minister said that people should come forward with their views and opinions as the government belonged to them. He said that the state government has just started working as the previous year was spent fighting the coronavirus however despite that he as a son stood firmly with the dalit tribals poor and needy of the state.

The revenue registration and land reforms department has built the guest house in Banhora for the Tana Bhagat at a cost of Rs 2.73 crore. The guest house consists of 12 rooms, two halls and other amenities. The guest house will enable the members not only to stay but also organise different programs.

Those present on the occasion also included Health Minister Banna Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary L Khiyangate, MLA Bandhu Tirkey, DC and SSP Ranchi and members of the Tana Bhagat community.
