Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved a proposal to suspend the additional district registrar of Deoghar Rahul Chaubey.
The action has been taken against the officer in wake of the charge sheet which was prepared by the Revenue and Land Reforms department over irregularities done in land registry in Droghar and in wake of recommendations made by the Deoghar DC who found that allegations levelled on him were serious in nature.
The action has been taken against the officer in irregularities committed in the registration of 31 acres of land in Devipur circle area of Deoghar district. In this case as per the report submitted by the DC Rahul Choubey had deliberately ignored the facts and over wrong intentions and personal gains had ensured the registration of the land.
The department had also sought a clarification from the officer over the charges which were levelled against him however he did not submit the same within a stipulated time. The DC had recommended strict disciplinary action against the officer along with suspension.
The DC had also received numerous complaints in connection with the acts of the registrar after which he had formed a district level committee to conduct a probe over the issues.
