Ranchi: In a major administrative overhaul, the Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department has carried out the biggest reshuffle in the history of the Jharkhand Police. The state government has transferred 201 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) simultaneously, triggering significant movement within the police department.
According to the notification issued on Wednesday, 201 DSP-rank officers have been assigned new postings across the state. The reshuffle includes several SDPOs, Traffic DSPs, Cyber DSPs, and recently promoted officers in the DSP cadre, who have now been given fresh responsibilities.
The department also clarified that officers whose current posts have been filled by others, but who have not yet received new assignments, must report directly to the Jharkhand Police Headquarters.
