Maoists torch 10 vehicles in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 09 : Suspected Maoist Guerrillas set on fire 10 vehicles involved in road construction work in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Wednesday.

According to Police, around 30 Maoist Guerrillas raided a private road construction company at Pirtand of Giridih district. The workers of the company were asked to go one side and the vehicles were set on fire by pouring kerosene oil.

Maoist Guerrillas left the place after torching the vehicles. The private construction was involved in 30 Km road construction work between Chirki to Palma of Giridih district.

According to Police sources, the denial of levy is said to be the reason of the incident. Maoist on regular basis torch vehicles involved in road construction work after denied levy.
