Ranchi, May 8: The Jharkhand Government has decided to approve the recommendations of the high level committee which was set to recommend changes in the domicile and recruitment policy.
As per the recommendation of the committee in other 13 non schedule districts of the state the appointment of the locals would be made in the third and fourth grade jobs. However since the model code of conduct was imposed in the state due to by-polls for two seats of Jharkhand Assembly the matter would be sent to the election commission.
State cabinet secretary SKG Rahate said that a detailed discussion was held over the issue in the cabinet after which it was approved and now the same would be sent to election commission . He said that as per the recommendation in the other 11 districts in the next 10 years the category 3rd and 4th jobs at the district level would be reserved for the locals.
A high powered committee chaired by Tourism Minister Amar Kumar Bauri had submitted its recommendation in this regard. Mr Rahate said that a total of 15 proposals were approved in the meeting.
