Ranchi: Influenced by the Nayi Disha of surrender and rehabilitation policy of Jharkhand Government, active member of CPI Maoist Jitendra Nagesia alias Jitendra Kisan, father late Mohan Nagesia alias Jodhan Kisan (Tumera, Parswar, Bhandaria Garhwa) present (Peepar Dhaba, Kusmi Balrampur, Chhattisgarh) on Friday.
Surrendered before Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan and Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Mohan at Latehar SP office. After surrender, he was welcomed with bouquet and shawl. SP Anjani Anjan said that Jitendra Nagesia has surrendered leaving the path of violence. He further said that operations against Naxalites are being carried out continuously by CRPF, Cobra, Jharkhand Jaguar and District Police.
Police has also got many achievements. He has also appealed to the militants of other Naxalite organizations to return to the mainstream. He said that the surrendered Naxalite Jitendra Budha has been very active in the mountain. After running the Octopus campaign there, the Naxalites ran away.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Mohan said that they surrendered after being influenced by the surrender policy of the government. Whatever facility is going to be provided by the government in this policy. It will be provided.
He further said that due to the desire to earn money quickly, many people go on the wrong path. He left the world of crime and returned to the mainstream.
Barwadih CDPO Dillu Lohra, Latehar police inspector cum station in-charge Ashutosh Kumar, Chhipadohar police station in-charge Abhishek Kumar, Baresandh police station in-charge Ranjit Kumar Yadav, Ranjit Ram of Chhipadohar police station, Kashi Mahali had an important contribution in motivating Jitendra Nagesia to surrender.
A total of four criminal cases are registered against Jitendra Nagesia, an active member of the CPI-Maoist who surrendered. He has worked with Chhotu Kharwar and Arvind in Budha Pahad. In 2018, CPI had joined the Maoist squad of Aman Bhuyan and Vimal Yadav. Since then he has carried out many incidents. Two criminal cases are registered against him in Baresand and one case each in Chhipadohar and Mahuadand police stations.
Jitendra Nagesia, who surrendered, said, that he wants to return to the mainstream and live in a farming family with his family. He told that he was forcibly included in the organization by CPI Maoist’s Aman Bhuyan and Vimal Yadav. He said that he was impressed by the surrender of CPI Maoist’s top Naxalite Naveen Yadav. He said that those who have deviated from the mainstream should surrender and take advantage of the government’s policy. Jitendra’s wife and son were present during the surrender.
