Ranchi: On Thursday many districts of the state received light to medium range of rainfall.
Districts such as East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, Saraikela, Gumla, Ranchi and Bokaro received light to medium range of rainfall. The MET has also predicted lightning during the later part of the day.
On Friday and Saturday also the department has predicted for light to medium range of rainfall in the state.
So far during the Monsoon session till September 2 the average rainfall in Jharkhand has been recorded at 773 mm which was 8 percent less as compared to the annual average rainfall of 837.6 mm. On the other hand in Ranchi, the average rainfall has been recorded at 860.8 mm which was less than 7 percent than average annual rainfall.
In the last 24 hours, Monsoon has remained weak in the state. The maximum rainfall has been recorded at Kolibera at 20 mm. The minimum temperature was recorded in Ranchi at 23 degrees while Chaibasa was the hottest at 32.8 degrees.
