Ranchi: As part of the anti-encroachment campaign the team of the enforcement department of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation conducted the drive from Kishori Yadav Chowk to Piska Mode.
As soon as the drive commenced a panic spread among the shop keeper and hawkers who started to run away with their belongings however the team managed to catch a couple of hand drive carts and also allowed the shop keepers to go away after giving them a warning.
Fine was also collected from a person who had piled a heap of sand outside his home on Ratu Raid. The team of the enforcement department also seized the illegal hoardings and banners and also collected fine from the shop keepers.
Some the shop keepers managed to survive the action as they somehow managed to take away the banners and posters while the fine was also collected from vehicle owners who had parked their vehicles in no parking area. For the last four days, the drive is on in the capital under which so far fine worth more than Rs 1 lakh has been also collected.
