Man Arrested for Harboring Accused in Hindpiri Murder Case

Ranchi: Police have arrested a man for allegedly providing shelter to suspects involved in the murder of Sahil alias Kurkure, who was shot dead near Bhatti Chowk in Hindpiri on August 10.

With this, three accused have so far been apprehended in the case and sent to jail. Raids are continuing to trace the remaining suspects.

The latest arrest is of 52-year-old Mohammad Firoz, a resident of Kharposh village in Majhgaon, West Singhbhum. According to police, Firoz gave shelter to the accused at his residence near the Jharkhand–Odisha border.

Following his arrest, Firoz was produced before a court and sent to Hotwar Jail under judicial custody. Police have also appealed to the public not to shelter or assist the accused, warning that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found supporting the criminals.
