Malaria spread in 23 villages of Pakur district

Pakur: Malaria is spreading in Pakur district. It has spread completely in 23 villages of Jordiha Panchayat of Littipara block. Five children died of brain malaria in Bada Kutlo village. The administration woke up to the news of these deaths and ordered an investigation. 

Symptoms of malaria have been found in many people. DC Mrityunjay Baranwal has directed the Health Department to conduct a survey in all the affected villages. The health department team is setting up camps in the villages and examining the people. Those found infected with malaria are being investigated.

Health workers have informed the DC that people are not aware about malaria and very few people are coming to the camp to get tested. DC tried to convince the villagers in the presence of village head Birju Hansda and head Joseph Malto. He said this investigation is for you. If the people of the village do not get the investigation done, it can take a big turn and many people can lose their lives.

A strategy is being made to further intensify the awareness campaign. There are preparations to reach the people through making in the local language in the villages and to motivate the people to get health checkups done. After getting information about the situation in the village, he also held a meeting with health department officials and personnel at Littipara Community Health Center.

 An attempt has been made to understand the latest situation of malaria spread in the village. People in 23 villages around Bada Kutlo village have found symptoms of fever.
