Make an action plan for the pending schemes and complete them on time – Secretary

Ranchi: Rural Development Secretary Chandrashekhar said that our priority should be to implement welfare schemes on the ground. He said” MNREGA is not a scheme but it is a powerful means of generating employment for the villagers”. He directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Development Commissioners to monitor the MNREGA work and ensure that the schemes run under MNREGA are visible on the ground.

In the meeting, many other important instructions regarding the schemes run under MNREGA were given to the Deputy Development Commissioners. The rural development plan was reviewed through video conferencing on Friday in the Rural Development Department auditorium under the chairmanship of Secretary, Rural Development Department, Chandrashekhar.

The guidelines given in the meeting are as follows- 1. MNREGA 

a) During the review of Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Sports  Ground, it was mentioned that NOC was not received in relation to the schemes taken by the districts in the forest area. On this, instructions were given to all the districts to provide the relevant list. 

b) Expressing unhappiness over the progress of ABPS (Aadhaar Best Payment). By October 15, ABPS should bring improvements as per the target set.

c) Under Birsa Irrigation Well Promotion Mission Scheme, 100 percent work should be approved in the districts.

d) In Poshan Vatika, all the Deputy Development Commissioners were directed to make 100% of the scheme ongoing by Monday while meeting with the BEOs of the respective schools.

f) Area Officer App and NMMS were directed to be 100% as per the target.

g) Instructions were given to all the Deputy Development Commissioners to fulfill the monthly target of creation of man days.
