Ranchi: President of JMM, the ruling party in Jharkhand, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Shibu Soren has suffered a major setback.
Lokpal, while giving its verdict on Monday on the complaint filed against Shibu Soren in the disproportionate assets case, has ordered the CBI to investigate as soon as possible.
Lokpal has directed the CBI to complete the preliminary investigation of this case within six months.
Besides, instructions have also been given to submit a copy of the investigation report to the Lokpal.
After completing the hearing of this case, the Lokpal had recently reserved its decision.
Actually, BJP’s Godda MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey had filed a complaint before the Lokpal in 2020.
BJP MP from Godda Dr Nishikant Dubey had accused Rajya Sabha MP and former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren and JMM of amassing disproportionate assets.
While giving the verdict on this complaint, the Lokpal has ordered the CBI to complete the preliminary investigation within six months.
