Leaders of Jharkhand Congress accept verdict of states with humility

Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Rajesh Thakur said that in a democracy people are the supreme therefore the party accepts the verdict of the election results of the five states with full humility and responsibility.

He said that there was no denying the fact that the election results are not up to the expectations of the party, especially that in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand the results are challenging and also against the hopes of the party. Thakur said that despite losing the polls the party and its men have not lost their courage and morale and are committed to move forward.

He said that in all these states the workers and leaders worked very hard on the ground but despite that the vote of the people did not come in their favour. He said that in all the states where elections have been held the relationship of the party with the people is not only confined to mere politics but is based on humanity. He said that going forward the party men will work harder and as a responsible opposition it will continue to raise the problems of the people from the road to the Assembly.
