Kurmi Rail Roko movement in three states on Sept 20

Ranchi: The people of the Kudmi community are going to protest for the third time to get tribal status for themselves. According to Kudmi organizations, this time the movement is going to be widespread.

People of the Kudmi community in Jharkhand are going to descend at Manoharpur, Neemdih, Gomo and Muri stations to demand their rights. This Rail Roko movement is going to take place on 20th September. Regarding the movement in Jharkhand, if Kudmi Vikas Morcha President Sheetal Ohdar is to be believed then this time it will be a matter of difference.

This Rail Roko movement is going to be organized for the third time by the Kudmi community. Earlier, this movement had conducted a five-day rail roko movement on September 20, 2022 and April 5, 2023. Ajit Prasad Mahato, a prominent leader of the tribal Kudmi community, says that unless the nature of the movement is inclusive, our views will not be taken into consideration.

If Ajit Prasad Mahato is to be believed, this time the movement will take place simultaneously in Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. We also know that the general public will have to face problems. That is why the organization has already apologized to the public.

Railway tracks will be affected on the following routes: Jharkhand: Manoharpur, Neemdih, Gomo and Muri West Bengal: Kustor and Khemashuli Odisha: Baripada and Rairangpur stations Trinamool Congress has distanced itself from the Rail Roko movement which is going to be held for the third time. According to the party’s Purulia District President Soumen Beltharia, the form in which the tribal Kudmi community is going to protest will directly affect the general public.

In such a situation, the party has decided that it will stay away from this Rail Roko movement. No Trinamool Congress worker will participate in this movement. This is the third movement of the people of the Kudmee community in three states.
