Two thieves who stole idol from the temple arrested

Palamau: The idol of Laddu Gopal made of Ashtadhatu has been stolen by an interstate gang of thieves from the temple located at Shivala Ghat in the city. With the arrest of two criminals, the police have recovered the crown of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi. While the search for a thief is going on to recover Laddu Gopal. 

In this theft incident, two thieves from Palamu along with a sonar from Sasaram in Bihar are involved. Police have arrested Mo Suhail, a resident of Pokhara Khurd of Sadar police station area and Upendra Kumar Seth, a resident of Amarkala village of Sasaram. The mastermind is absconding. There is an idol of Laddu Gopal near the mastermind. After the theft incident in the temple on the night of September 11, SP formed SIT under the leadership of SDPO Surjeet Kumar.

On Monday, SDPO Surjit said in the press conference that two thieves were involved in stealing the idol and other items from the temple. During the investigation, when the police reached Suhail, he revealed the entire incident of theft. Told that the crown was being sold in Sasaram, Bihar. The police team went to Sasaram and arrested its operator Upendra from Raj Utensil Shop. Along with the utensils shop, Upendra also does business of gold and silver. He buys stolen goods cheaply from thieves.

The stolen crown was found in damaged condition from his shop. There were preparations to melt the crown and make other jewelery from it. He had bought the stolen crown for six thousand rupees. The arrested Sonar told the police that the arrested Suhail had come with his partner to sell the idol and other jewellery. The idol was not of any use to him so he did not buy it. SDPO said that Suhail was keeping watch outside the temple at the time of theft.
