Ranchi: Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar on Monday held a review meeting of matters related to land acquisition. He asked the Additional Collector to hold a meeting with the concerned zonal officer to expedite the payment of compensation for the land acquired for the widening of the road from Argora to Kathal roundabout, Serum Toli Flyover, Kanta Toli Flyover and other roads.
He also directed Additional Land Acquisition Officer cum Circle Officer Bedo to pay the remaining amount of Rs 18 crore in NH-23 Gumla Palama Project. For this, the Project Director of PIU Gumla will coordinate with the Land Acquisition Office and ensure compensation payment to the tenants.
Project Director Gumla was instructed to start the construction work of the school by informing the concerned department for transfer of land to transfer the residential girls’ school run by the Welfare Department at Mauja Baridih to Mauja Jariya.
Sinha directed to pay the remaining compensation of Rs 66 crore for Bharat Mala Project (Ormanjhi to Gola section) only on the basis of the previously announced award. In the matter of structure, orders were given to pay only those ryots who are not creating any kind of hindrance in the construction of that road.
He presented a list of difficulties faced in the scheme to the Assistant Engineer and Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department (Rural and Urban) for payment of compensation in the land acquired in the projects of the Road Construction Department (Rural and Urban).

Additional Collector Ranchi, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Barwar, Project Director (PIU Gumla), Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Engineer of Bharat Mala Project and District Land Acquisition Officer Ranchi, Mr. Sunil Chandra, Circle Officer Bedo, Mr. Suman Tirkey and all others concerned were present in the meeting.
