Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers are on hunger strike in Bapu Vatika courtyard located in Morhabadi, Ranchi. Activists are on fast in the ED office to protest against the torture and inhuman treatment of former CM Hemant Soren. Apart from Ranchi, JMM is fasting in other districts also. District President Mustaq Alam, who is on hunger strike.
He said that Hemant Soren has been sent to jail under a conspiracy. BJP is trying to implicate Hemant Soren in a wrong case through ED. District Vice President Ashwani Sharma said that BJP is plotting to topple the elected government. But she will not be able to succeed. The Constitution and democracy are being attacked. The public is watching. The public will also answer in the coming elections.
He said that our leader should be released soon, otherwise a phased agitation will be conducted from the state to the centre. Many JMM workers including District President Mustaq Alam, Vice President Ashwani Sharma were present in this hunger strike program.
