Ranchi: Jharkhand has got the opportunity to host the National School Sports Competition for the first time in 2024.
Jharkhand will host 6 different competitions of the 67th National School Sports Competition.
More than 5,600 participants will take part in these competitions.
All these competitions will be organized in Ranchi. State Program Officer of State Education Project, Dhirsen Soreng said that this event is a matter of pride for the state.
Education Secretary K Ravi Kumar and State Education Project Director Kiran Kumari have given instructions regarding the event.
The six competitions which have been hosted by the state include Football under 14 boys/girls, Kabaddi under 14 boys/girls, Wushu under 17 and 19 boys/girls, Kho-Kho under 14 boys/girls, Cycling under 14, 17 and 19 boys/girls.
Skating includes under 11, 14, 14 and 19 boys/girls.
Football will be organized from January 17 to January 21, Kabaddi and Wushu will be organized from January 24 to January 28, Kho-Kho will be organized from January 31 to February 4, Cycling will be organized from February 8 to February 12 and Skating will be organized from February 15 to 19.
