Jharkhand Medico City will be built on about 76 acres of land in Rinpas on PPP Mode with investment of Rs 4,000- Rs 5,000 crore

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a highlevel meeting with the officials regarding the establishment of Jharkhand Medico City, Ranchi. On this occasion, he saw the presentation of Ernst & Young, the consultancy agency of Jharkhand Medico City and gave many important instructions.

He said that Jharkhand Medico City is proposed to be set up on PPP model on the land of Rinpas, Ranchi so in such a situation, there should be proper use of the land.

He directed the officials to take special care so that the investors can be given land for the construction of hospitals according to their needs. The Chief Minister said that the latest technologies should be used in the Jharkhand Medico City complex for common utility services – electricity, drinking water, roads, drainage and sewerage, street lights, disposal of bio-medical waste so that it becomes a model medical hub in front of the country and the world.  

Hemant Soren said that many super specialty hospitals would be built on PPP model in Jharkhand Medico City. In such a situation, due to having separate ambulance service for all the hospitals, the patients as well as those handling the arrangements here may face problems therefore in such a situation he asked the officials to prepare a setup of centralized ambulance service for all the hospitals so that the patients can be admitted to the concerned hospital by bringing them by ambulance as per the requirement. 

The Chief Minister said that many investors have expressed interest in setting up hospitals and other medical institutions in Jharkhand Medico City which is a better step for the health system of Jharkhand. 

All the hospitals and medical institutions to be opened here should be operated in a better way and suggested that there is a need to take the services of professionals for the better benefit of the patients here.

In this meeting Health Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, and representatives of Ernst & Young Consultancy were present.
