Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Monday planted a tree at Raj Bhavan Premises during a programme to mark World Environment Day in Ranchi. Governor Radhakrishnan said that “We should understand the importance of Environment Conservation.”
He said that “It is an opportunity for every citizen of the state to work for Environment Conservation.” He also added that “It is the responsibility of the people to create awareness along with that they should motivate others to plant trees and protect Environment.” We should avoid the use of Plastics in our daily life, rivers are being polluted and even they are dried up, Governor Said while addressing World Environment Day Programme at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi.
On this occasion Principal Secretary to Governor Jharkhand Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) Dr. ON Singh along with a large number of officials and NSS Volunteers were present.
Governor Radhakrishnan added that There is importance of trees in our daily life and Jharkhand is the state which celebrates the Festival of Nature ‘Sarhul’. On the occasion of World Environment Day, a total of 50 trees have been planted in Raj Bhavan Jharkhand.
