Cleanliness Drive organised on the banks of Ganges river in Sahibganj by PIB

Ranchi: On the occasion of the World Environment Day Cleanliness drive during an awareness programme organised on the banks of divine river Ganges in the Sahibganj district of Jharkhand by the Press Information Bureau on Monday.

Senior Civil Judge of Sahibganj district Dharmendra Kumar said that “Do Not Use Single Use Plastic, which are less than 100 microns.” He said that “In our daily lifestyle we should adopt the use of eco-friendly products in which the environment should be protected.” 

He also added that “There are n numbers of laws enacted by Parliament of India and we should beware about that.” Meanwhile, Geo-Scientist Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Singh said that “For the sake of Humanity and for protection of Wild Life we should conserve the environment.”

Press Information Bureau Officer Sahid Rahman expressed his views on World Environment Day that “Save Water, Tree Plantation and Say No to Plastic, should be part of our daily life.” In the awareness drive, Photo Exhibition organised by the Press Information Bureau and supported by Mission LiFE (Life Style for Environment) was visited by a large number of audience members.

Meanwhile, Tree Bank was inaugurated on the occasion of World Environment Day. Tree Plantation was done by a Senior Civil Judge and other distinguished guests. Participants of Cyclothon, Drawing Competition and Essay Writing Competition were awarded with certificates and mementos. 

Geo-Scientist Ranjeet Kumar Singh and PIB Official Sahid Rahman also took part in a cleanliness drive of the divine river Ganges under ‘Nammi Gange’ project. Fossil Exhibition was organised at Model College Rajmahal.
