Jharkhand Governor taken part in 23rd Statehood Foundation Day Celebrations at Morhabadi Grounds

Ranchi: Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan said on the occasion of Jharkhand State Foundation Day organized at Morhabadi, Ranchi that the land of Jharkhand is the sacred land where Lord Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda was born and the world always remembers him for the work he did in the short life of 25 years. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji went to Ulihatu and paid homage to the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda. He is the first Prime Minister of the country who, while paying homage to the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda, announced a scheme of Rs 24 thousand crore for the welfare of the tribes.

He said that Jharkhand has now reached its 24th year and the Central Government and the State Government are continuously making efforts for the development of Jharkhand, irrespective of linguistic, caste and sectarian sentiments. In Jharkhand, 100 percent electrification of railways has been done, Vande Bharat trains have started operating and drinking water supply work is being done continuously under Jal Jeevan Mission. Proper utilization of state resources will definitely remove poverty.

The Governor said that during his visit he has closely seen the work being done for the development of education in the state. Extensive work has been done for quality education in Chief Minister School of Excellence and  Eklavya School. Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme and Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme have been started. 

A new policy has been made by the government for employment, for this it has been made mandatory for the companies to provide employment to 75 percent of the local youth. Under the BIRSA scheme, youth are being trained through empaneled training providers. Financial assistance is also being provided in case one is not employed within 3 months after receiving training.

Governor said that under the Abua Awas Yojana, a target has been set to provide housing to 8 lakh families, under this scheme, the beneficiaries will get a permanent house of 3 rooms with kitchen in 31 square meters and also a toilet under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Under Phulo-Jhano Ashirwad, women selling Hadiya-Daru are being continuously linked with alternative livelihood. The third phase of ‘Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program has started from today to provide benefits of government schemes to common citizens at their doorstep. 

He congratulated all the young men and women who got employment, distributed assets among various schemes and wished everyone happiness and prosperity. He said that we all should work together with determination for the development of Jharkhand and this will be a true tribute to Lord Birsa Munda.
