Gumla : Governor CP Radhakrishnan inaugurated the “Late Kartik Oraon Smriti Jatra cum Sports Competition and Cultural Festival 2023” organized at Project High School Complex, Badri, Ghaghra, Gumla. He said, while paying tribute to Pankhraj Saheb Kartik Oraon, he has made invaluable contribution in the development of the society.
The Governor said that everyone lives for himself, but those who live for the society are always remembered. Pankhraj Saheb Kartik Oraon ji was an extraordinary person and ‘Karmayogi’, who worked with dedication for the development of the society and upliftment of the people.
Honorable Governor said that the life of Pankhraj Saheb Kartik Oraon ji, a great educationist, skilled engineer and visionary who was born in an ordinary farmer family and achieved the heights of education and fame, is a source of inspiration. His birth on the holy land of Jharkhand is a matter of pride for all of us. His efforts led to the establishment of Birsa Agricultural University and other institutions.
The Governor said that Kartik Oraon ji believed that education is not just a means of personal interest, but a means of empowering the entire society. Governor said that everyone should be committed to provide quality education to every child, every child of Jharkhand should get good education. It is the ultimate duty of every parent to provide good education to their child. There is no greater power than knowledge.
Prime Minister is very sensitive towards the future of children. In this direction, a large number of ‘Eklavya Vidyalayas’ have been provided to the state of Jharkhand. While congratulating everyone on ‘Jatra’, the Governor said that the message given by Kartik Oraon ji will always inspire everyone.
