Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren demanded state’s share in coal royalty during NITI Aayog Meeting in Ranchi

Ranchi: The meeting of the NITI Aayog team with the Jharkhand government is held at Project Building in Ranchi on Wednesday. According to Sources during the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has demanded the state’s share from the central government in various scheme items including coal royalty. 

Hemant Soren said the development work of the state is affected due to non-receipt of funds for the scheme on time and the benefits of the scheme do not reach the ground level. It is necessary to get the amount received under the scheme on time. Even the GST amount is not received on time. Due to this, the development work of the state is getting affected.

The NITI Aayog team member said under the federal system, the central government should look at all the states with one eye, otherwise, the federal system will be bad. The Chief Minister said NITI Aayog holds meetings in different states, but the suggestions given by the state government are not implemented. There is a need to pay attention to this.

Apart from the secretaries of all the departments including Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, many officials were present in the meeting.
