JAC likely to conduct 10th and 12th exam in second week of February

Ranchi: If all falls into place as per plans then the Jharkhand Academic Council is likely to conduct the matriculation and intermediate exams for classes 10th and 12th respectively in the second week of March that too in a single term.

Due to Covid previous year, the exams were conducted in two terms. JAC sources said that the process of filing the examination form has been completed and detailed discussions are on as to when the exams should be started. Though the dates have not been finalized yet it is expected that the exams might commence from March 13 or 14th.

On the other hand, Chairman of the Jharkhand Academic Council Anil Kumar Mahto said that preparations are on to organize the exams.

He said that the education department has suggested that the exams should be held immediately after Holi but it will not be possible to do the same due to the holidays, however, talks and discussions are still on. It might also happen that the practical and internal marks assessment for the students may be held in February itself.

Moreover this time around after the end of the Covid period the exams will be conducted with a full syllabus. Previous year the syllabus had been reduced.

As per the pattern which has been framed by JAC for the exam this time around the papers will consist of both objectives and subjective questions. The 50 percent objective questions will have to be answered on OMR Sheets.
