Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council on Friday declared the results of all the three streams Science, Arts and Commerce of Intermediate.
Education Minister Jaggarnath Mahto declared the results in the JAC Auditorium. In Science Hazaribagh district, Commerce Lohardaga and in Arts Simdega district topped.
In Science, the passing percentage was 58.99 percent, Commerce 77.37 percent and Arts 82.53 percent. The students can now see the results on jacresults.com or jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Earlier the results were scheduled to be held at 1300hrs however due to some delay the time was extended to 1700hrs.
The exams of Intermediate were held from February 11 in which a total of 2,34,363 students had appeared. In inter Arts a total of 1,29,263 students had participated, Science 76,585 students and in Commerce 28,515 had appeared in the exams.
As far as the results of the Commerce was concerned among the districts Lohardaga had performed the best while Sahebganj was at the poorest. In Lohardaga 95.09 percent students had passed while in Sahebganj only 43.13 students had passed.
As far as the percentage among the boys and girls are concerned the girls out performed the boys with a passing percentage was 84.73 percent while that of the boys was 71.16 percent.
Overall in Commerce, a total of 28,130 students had sat out of which 77.37 percent 21,765 students passed. 7,195 students came first, 13,012 came second while 1,555 students passed in third division.
As par as Arts Stream was concerned a total of 1,29, 263 students had sat in the exams out of which 82.53 students passed out. Among the students 15,982 students had passed in the first division, 71,118 students had passed in the second division while 18,124 students have cleared the exam in the third division.
As far as the girls was concerned their passing percentage was 84.20 percent while that of the boys was 79.94 percent.
In the Science Stream, a total of 76,585 students had sat in the exam out of which 58.99 percent of students have passed. A total of 17,441 students have passed in the first division, another 25,735 second division and only 1,406 students came out in the third division. Among the girls and boys, the girls have secured 61.73 percent and boys 57.72 percent.
Hazaribagh district had the best performance in Science with a pass percentage of 72.67 percent while Pakur had the poorest showing 37.10 percent.
