Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that home quarantine has been made must for the people who would be coming to Jharkhand from outside by any means of transportation.
He said that earlier people who had to depart from the state within 70-72 hours were given many relaxations but now henceforth no such relaxation would be given. He said that whether the people come back through flights, rail, or road all of them would have to undergo a mandatory period of home quarantine and after that only they would be allowed to participate in future activities.
When asked over Maoists trying to include the migrant workers into their ranks the Chief Minister said that no such incident had taken place in the state. He said that the government was aware of the matter and the system was keeping a strict eye over the issue.
When asked about he himself receiving threats he said that the matter had been brought into his notice by the authorities concerned that there was a threat on his life. He said that there may be some people who may have problems with him for his works but he was not going to be deterred by such acts and would continue to work forward without stopping.
The Chief Minister said that the government would soon come out with a new comprehensive sports policy which would be suitable not for the current lot of players but would also cater to retired and even Divyang players. He said that previously also the sports policies have been framed in the state but all of them have failed to provide any concrete solutions.
