Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government came out with a fresh set of guidelines for the people who are coming into the state from outside as for them home quarantine has been made must.
As per the guidelines issued by the Home Prison and Disaster Management Department every person coming to Jharkhand by air, rail, road shall register his or her personal details on the website of Government of Jharkhand preferably before his or her departure of Jharkhand and in any case not later than the day of arrival in the state of Jharkhand.
Further, every person coming or returning to Jharkhand by air, rail or road shall stay in home quarantine for a period of 14 days observing guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The district administration shall take all necessary measures to ensure the compliance of the above directions and all the instructions issued from time to time with regard to home quarantine. In case the district administration comes to the conclusion that the condition at the home of a person are not appropriate for home quarantine or the concerned person is not following the guidelines of home quarantine than the district administration will put the person into paid quarantine.
However, all the above directions shall not apply to divers/helpers of commercial vehicles involved in cargo movement, personnel of airlines, operating in and out of the state people passing through the state during interstate movement.
Further railways and civil aviation in the state shall share the passenger details in the format. Any person violating these directions will be liable for action as per provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the disaster management Act 2005 besides legal action under section 188 of the IPC would also be taken.
