Ranchi: International Women’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and excitement at Central Coalfields Limited.
On this occasion, many activities were organized in the areas including CCL Headquarters, Ranchi.
International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8 March to celebrate the achievements of women across the world.
The theme of this year’s festival is “Invest in Women Empowerment: Accelerate Progress”.
Women in Public Sector (WIPS), CCL organized a grand event at the Convention Center at CCL Headquarters to mark the special occasion.
On this occasion, CCL CMD Dr. B. Veera Reddy was present as the chief guest.
On the special occasion, Justice Ranjana Asthana, ED, IICM, Mrs. Kamakshi Raman, Colonel Shraddha, Sister B. Of.
Various dignitaries including Nirmala were present.
Women employees from various regions and headquarters participated in the programme.
On this occasion, 16 women employees and other achievers of the company were honoured for their outstanding contribution.
CCL CMD Dr B Veera Reddy greeted everyone on the occasion of Women’s Day.
She also stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities to women.
In her address, Sister Nirmala advised all women to be spiritual and said that they should focus more on inner beauty than outer beauty.
He further said that yoga and meditation should be done daily.
Justice Ranjana Asthana said in her address that in today’s environment, women are working together with men in all fields.
She further said that there is no dearth of such inspirational women who have overcome difficult hurdles to prove themselves.
Kamakshi Raman, ED, IICM, in her address said that women should believe in themselves at all times and strive to achieve their goals every day.
