IMD forecasts clear and dry weather in Jharkhand

Ranchi: As per the forecast of IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre clear and dry weather is expected to prevail in Jharkhand over the next few days. However, in their sectors forecast weathermen hinted at thunderstorm activity at one or two places over the eastern parts of the state.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre also predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperature in the next 72- hours. Statistics indicated that the day’s temperature was at a comfortable level across the state in the past 24- hours. 

Satellite pictures suggested that a trough runs from cyclonic circulation over Northeast Rajasthan to west Bihar across Uttar Pradesh extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Light to moderate rain occurred at isolated places over the state during the past 24- hours.

The highest rainfall recorded was 26.4 mm at Chaibasa (West Singhbhum). The highest maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees was recorded at Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.2 degrees was recorded at Ranchi.
