Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said that education is the greatest gift to mankind. Addressing the first convocation ceremony of the Usha Martin University he said that education is the only medium through which we can enhance our talent and can make life successful.
He said that it is a matter of great pride that Usha Martin University is giving education to the children and preparing them for the competition in the world. Gold medals were awarded to 18 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 577 students were given degrees.
Super 30 founder Anand Kumar was given the degree of D Lit. Chancellor of Usha Martin University Prabhat Kumar, Pro-Chancellor Suresh Garg, Vice-Chancellor Madhulika Kaushik, University President Goyal and Registrar of the University, and other officials were involved.
Basant Kumar Jhawar, founder member of Usha Martin University, gave his message through video conference. In his address, the Governor said that the New Education Policy 2020 is one of the major initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that universities should implement the new education policy 2020.
He told the students that they have worked hard during their graduation and post-graduation and had demonstrated their commitment to learning. The Governor said that they are lucky to be able to get higher education. There are many youths in the state who are unable to pursue higher education due to poverty and they have to think about these deprived youth of the society.
He suggested them to find ways to bring about social change through the education you have received. It would be best if you think about strengthening the community economically he said.
