Illegal mining case: Sahibganj police termed the FIR lodged against Pankaj Mishra and others as false

Ranchi: The ST-SC case number 6/22 registered regarding illegal mining on Sahibganj Nimbu Pahari has been declared false by the Sahibganj police in supervision. ED has sent summons to Naushad Alam and called him for questioning at ED’s Ranchi zonal office on November 22. ED’s inquiry may reveal how the SP declared this case false. Meanwhile, CBI’s investigation is also going on in this matter.

Vijay Hansda had complained about illegal mining on Sahibganj Nimbu Pahari in the year 2022. In the complaint filed in the court, Vijay Hansda had complained against Barhet MLA representative Pankaj Mishra and others. A case was registered in this matter in December 2022. But Sahibganj Police has termed this case as false during supervision.

ED’s important witness Vijay Hansda had retracted his earlier statement in the court on September 12. Vijay Hansda had suddenly come to the court to testify without any prior notice. Whereas ED had not even summoned him for testimony. However, the testimony of Vijay Hansda could not be completed. Earlier, testimony of two people has been recorded in this case.

The hearing of this case is going on in the court of ED special judge PK Sharma. Pankaj Mishra, Prem Prakash, Bachchu Yadav, Pashupati Yadav and Krishna Saha are facing trial in the illegal mining case worth Rs 1000 crore.

Pankaj Mishra has been in jail since July 19, 2022. Vijay Hansda is an important witness of ED in this case.

CBI had also taken the statement of Vijay Hansda’s bodyguard Ajay Kumar during the investigation of the case. During the investigation, CBI came to know that Vijay Hansda had caught a train from Dhanbad to New Delhi on 21st August. He returned from New Delhi on August 23 after meeting the advocate.

The train ticket for this journey was booked by SP Naushad Alam from the Sergeant of Ranchi Police Centre. Now after interrogating Naushad Alam in this case, ED can soon interrogate that sergeant also.
