Illegal mining case, ED to interrogate Vinod Singh on January 15

Ranchi: Vinod Singh will be interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday, January 15, in the illegal mining case. Earlier, on January 11, ED had called Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav for questioning. Although he did not appear before the ED.

Jharkhand Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel has written a letter to the ED seeking information on on what basis she is summoning the state government officers for questioning.

On January 3, ED had taken major action in the case related to illegal mining worth Rs 1250 crore in Sahibganj and influencing ED witness Vijay Hansda.

ED simultaneously arrested Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s press advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu, Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav, DSP Rajendra Dubey, Sahibganj’s mining businessmen Khudania brothers, Chief Minister’s friends Vinod Kumar Singh, Roshan Singh, Kolkata businessman Abhay Saraogi, former MLA.

Pappu Yadav had raided the premises of Jamadar Awadhesh Kumar of Birsa Munda Jail, Ranchi.

During the raid, the agency has found evidence of investments and suspicious financial transactions through shell companies. ED is now taking further action on the basis of the recovery.
