ED sent summons to 30 people including Kanhaiya Khudania in illegal mining case worth Rs 1250 crore

Ranchi : ED has summoned 30 people including Kanhaiya Khudania in the illegal mining case worth Rs 1250 crore in Sahibganj district.

In this case, ED will start interrogating him from January 17.

During the raid in Kanhaiya’s house on January 3, ED had found 30 different benami bank accounts along with Rs 6 lakh in cash.

Summons have been issued to the people named during the investigation of these benami accounts.

Now the ED team will interrogate all these 30 account holders in this matter.

In the investigation conducted so far by ED, information about the rented bank account has been found.

Transactions worth crores of rupees have been done from these rented accounts.

On January 3, ED had taken major action in the case related to illegal mining worth Rs 1250 crore in Sahibganj and influencing ED witness Vijay Hansda.

ED simultaneously arrested Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s press advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu, Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav, DSP Rajendra Dubey, Sahibganj’s mining businessmen Khudania brothers, Chief Minister’s friends Vinod Kumar Singh, Roshan Singh, Kolkata businessman Abhay Saraogi, former MLA.

Pappu Yadav had raided the premises of Jamadar Awadhesh Kumar of Birsa Munda Jail, Ranchi.

During the raid, the agency has found evidence of investments and suspicious financial transactions through shell companies.

ED is now taking further action on the basis of the recovery.
