Ranchi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi Director Deepak Kumar Shrivastva addressed a press conference in Ranchi on Monday.
He Said, IIM Ranchi is going to host Indigenous Film Festival in Collaboration with Tata Steel Foundation in Ranchi on August 26 and 27.
The purpose of the show films is to explore the heart and soul of Jharkhand through tribal cinema.
Movies will highlight the cultural identity, wisdom, alternative development among tribal communities.
The theme of The Day 1 is “Cinema and Adivasiyat.”
And Day 2 is “Tribal Heritage and Cultural Resilience.”
Director Deepak Shrivastava said, Award Winning movies will be showcased.
The movies which will be displayed on the screen are Johar, Bandha Khet, Banam Session, and Rat Trap.
The movies are based on social issues, displacement, Domicile and the problems of tribal communities in the state.
Tribal Heritage, Culture, Customs and artistic approach towards life will be displayed on the screen.
IIM Ranchi Director Deepak Kumar Shrivastava said Students are excited to watch movies.
Film Makers Meghnath and Biju Toppo will join the fruitful discussion among the issues of tribal communities.
Sessions will be organized on screening, storytelling and discussion with film makers.
Deepak Shrivastava said Cultural Vibrancy along with tribal history will be expressed through screening of the movies.
