Ranchi: In Jharkhand, the effect of icy winds coming from the north-west have started showing their effect.
Ranchi has recorded a drop of 6 degrees in the minimum temperature within 48 hours. At the same time, the minimum temperature of Kanke has reached 3 degrees.
Scientist at the local weather station said that for the next four to five days, there will be fog in the morning and sunshine in the day. After this, there are indications of increase in temperature by 2-3 degrees which will provide relief to the people from cold and chill. At the same time, there is a possibility of light and moderate fog at some places of the state during 48 hours.
The Khelari coalfield was completely covered in fog and haze early in the morning. Visibility of the area decreased to less than 10 metres. The vehicles passing through the area had to face a lot of trouble and people were forced to walk with the lights on.
In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in the state was 24.8 degree celsius in Chaibasa and the lowest temperature was 8 degrees Ranchi.
