Gumla: Suspecting his wife’s illegal relationship, the husband killed his wife by slitting her throat. The husband has a slit throat with a sharp weapon. After executing the incident, the husband escaped. Later, the Police arrested him.
The incident is of Chainpur in Gumla district. Amit Toppo, who lives near Chainpur block, was taking his revenge over his wife Manjula Toppo. The wife got agitated and went to her maternal home. Around 9:30 in the night, the matter escalated so much that Amit could not control his anger and attacked his wife Manjula with a cockerel kept in the house.
The husband absconded after killing his wife. On the other hand, the whole matter was informed to the police. The police started investigating the absconding husband. After the arrest, Amit confessed to the murder and said about the weapon with which the murder happened. Police have recovered the weapon used in the murder. Police have taken the dead body in possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital Gumla for postmortem.
During interrogation to the police, the husband said he suspected that his wife was having some other relationship. This is the reason why there is always a quarrel between them. I was already suspicious of my wife’s illicit relationship. We have three children. Two children lived with their mother and one child with me. We had a fight last night.
