High Court stays transfer of 66 JAP jawans

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the transfer order of as many as 66 constables of the fourth battalion of Jharkhand Armed Police having its headquarters in Bokaro.

The development took place in the court of Justice Ananda Sen where petitions of affected constables including Mohan Prasad Yadav and others were listed for hearing. 

The order came after Advocate Diwakar Upadhyay, appearing on behalf of the constables submitted that the transfer order is in violation of Rule 778 of the Jharkhand Police Manual, and the court got convinced.
