Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court has refused to stay the advertisement for the appointment of Assistant Professor issued by the Staff Selection Commission. After hearing the petition filed regarding ban on advertisement, the court has asked the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to reply within four weeks. Now this case will be heard in the second week of January. Till then JSSC has been asked to reply. Hearing was held in the court of Justice Rajesh Shankar.
Jharkhand High Court has given the above order while hearing the petition of Mani Long and others challenging the advertisement for the appointment of Assistant Professor. Intervention petition (IA) has been filed on behalf of the applicant. While hearing which, refused to stay Assistant Professor’s Advertisement 13/2023. In this intervention petition, questions have been raised on the name of the post, pay scale and other points.
Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission has issued an advertisement for 26001 posts of Assistant Professor in primary schools. The court has made the Secretary of Jharkhand Academic Council a defendant in the case.
Raising questions on the advertisement, it has been said on behalf of the applicant that the state government conducted a teacher eligibility test in the year 2016. In this examination he talked about taking the examination for the post of assistant teacher. Now how was the advertisement issued for the post of Assistant Professor instead of the post of Assistant Teacher.
The exam was for the post of Assistant Teacher but when the advertisement came out, the post was changed to Assistant Teacher. Its pay scale was also reduced from the pay scale of assistant teacher. Now the appointment process is being done by creating a new post of Assistant Professor. Therefore, there should be a ban on the appointment advertisement of Assistant Professor.
