Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday visited the historic Solahbhuji Maa Diuri Temple in Tamar along with his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren. The couple performed traditional rituals and offered prayers, seeking peace, prosperity, happiness and progress for the people of the state.
Following customary traditions, the Chief Minister and Kalpana Soren paid obeisance at the temple and sought the blessings of the deity. The rituals were conducted amid Vedic chants by temple priest Manoj Panda and chief Pahan Sukhram.
News of the Chief Minister’s visit drew a large number of villagers and devotees from nearby areas to the temple premises. People appeared enthusiastic to see Hemant Soren among them and gathered in significant numbers.
Speaking after the prayer ceremony, Hemant Soren said Jharkhand’s rich cultural and religious heritage is an integral part of the state’s identity. He described the renowned Maa Diuri Temple as an important centre of faith for devotees and said that visiting the temple fills one with positive energy and spiritual strength.
