Ranchi: Hemant Soren-led Mahagathbandhan government won a vote of confidence in the Jharkhand Assembly in which 48 votes were cast in favor of the trust vote while the entire opposition boycotted the vote.

Responding on behalf of the government on the motion of confidence Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the state government will take a decision soon on determining the local policy on the basis of Khatiyaan of 1932.

Attacking the BJP and the NDA government at the Center fiercely while replying to the motion of confidence on behalf of the government in the assembly, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that till now he had heard about buying clothes,
vegetables and ration, but the work of buying MLAs is being done by BJP. He said that the business of traders has disturbed the whole country.

During the discussion on the trust vote he urged the Governor to end the suspense on the matter and said that the UPA alliance is ready to give a befitting and legal answer under any circumstances. Hemant Soren said that the UPA had got a clear majority in the 2019 assembly elections but despite this, the need to get the vote of confidence still arose because the people of the country and the entire state could be informed about everything.

He said that the way the government gave a befitting reply even in the Corona global pandemic and worked to handle backward states like Jharkhand in that situation if there was a government of opposition parties, what would have happened to the poor and tribals and laborers it is difficult to say.

He said that BJP leaders today definitely say that people wearing slippers are walking on airplanes but the truth is that these poor people have not been left to walk on the roads. The country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence today but the people of BJP did the work of selling the flags.

Attempts were made to sell the democracy of the country he said adding that they are only helping the businessmen and some businessmen close to them are being helped but the country is being mortgaged, they do not have money to give pension to their employees but they have money to waive off the loans of traders.

Hemant Soren said that he is ready to give a befitting reply to the BJP leaders. He said that efforts are being made to destabilize the popular government in different states of the country and moreover efforts are being made to defame him through the media. This government at the Center has done the work of promoting Manuwadi thinking before independence and now hey are trying to divide the country in the name of religion.

Earlier, a motion of confidence was introduced in the House in which 48 votes were cast in favor of the trust vote while the entire opposition boycotted the vote. In the 82-member Jharkhand Assembly, three Congress MLAs Irfan Ansari, Naman Vixal Kongadi and Rajesh Kacchap arrested in the cash scandal, did not reach the assembly while 26 MLAs of BJP, two of AJSU and two independent MLAs boycotted the voting.
