Ranchi: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for eight districts of the state. According to the forecast of the department, there will be torrential rains in these districts from July 11 to 13. The effect of this torrential rain will also be seen in large parts of the state.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the districts, which include Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj. On the other hand, people of these districts have been asked to take special care on Tuesday. Along with heavy rain, the possibility of thunder and lightning has also been expressed.
Monsoon has covered the entire Jharkhand but the rains are negligible. According to the figures released by the Meteorological Department regarding the rains, there has been 38 per cent less rain in this year’s rainy season. Jharkhand usually receives 255.3 mm of rain between June 1 and July 7, but this year only 157.6 mm of rain has been recorded in the same period.
Sahibganj is the only district in the state that has recorded 35 per cent more rainfall than normal. Sahibganj has received 430 mm of rain so far this year. At the same time, Chatra has received 73 per cent less rainfall than normal. Giridih recorded 59, Jamtara 63, Latehar 58, Ramgarh 48, Ranchi 44 and Seraikela recorded 55 mm less rainfall. Its effect can be seen on agriculture. The effect of reduction in rain is also being seen on the temperature.
An increase in the temperature is being seen in many cities of the state. Jamshedpur has recorded an increase in heat. The maximum temperature here has increased by 1.7 degrees and now the maximum temperature of the city has reached 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature has also increased by 0.4 per cent and now it is 26.2 degree Celsius.
In Ranchi too, the maximum temperature has increased by 1 degree to reach 31 degree Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature has increased by 0.2 degree. It is now 23.4 degrees Celsius in Ranchi.
