Heatwave and Rain alert in Jharkhand, chances of rain and lightning in the next 3 days – MeT Department 

Ranchi:  There will be some respite from the heat in Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop of 4 to 5 degrees Celsius in temperature in the next 2 days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert from Saturday till April 8.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a heat wave and rain. There are chances of a heat wave in the state till Saturday, while from April 7, there is a possibility of rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms. There are chances of rain with thunder and strong wind on April 8 also. 

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the northern part of the state on April 6. Heatwaves will affect the southern part of the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorms along with strong winds at many places in the state. The wind speed will be 30 to 40 km.

On April 8, there will be light to moderate rain in the southeastern part of the state. This will affect the southern part of the state. Wind speed can be between 30 to 40 km. There are also chances of thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted light to moderate rain in many parts of the state on April 9. If we look at the temperature of the last 24 hours in the state, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius in Seraikela while the minimum temperature was 19.7 degrees Celsius. An increase of 2.7 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Chaibasa in the last 24 hours.

The maximum temperature in Ranchi has increased by 2.3 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Similarly, an increase has been recorded in the maximum temperature of Jamshedpur and Bokaro.
