Ranchi: A case will be filed against former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. A charge sheet was filed by the ED in the PMLA court on March 30 in the 8.46 acre land scam and money laundering case of Badgai zone area. The court took cognizance of this charge sheet on Thursday. Now legal proceedings will be initiated against the former CM.
According to the charge sheet, not only the former CM will be prosecuted, but four others will also be prosecuted. This includes former revenue sub-inspector of Badgai zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad, architect Vinod Singh, original tenant of the land Rajkumar Pahan and Hilarius Kachhap.
ED had arrested the former CM on the night of January 31 in the 8.46 acre land scam and money laundering case. Since then till now he is in judicial custody. Thus, it has been 64 days since he remained in judicial custody.
Former Revenue Sub-Inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad is also in jail. The remaining three accused (architect Vinod Singh, original owner of the land Rajkumar Pahan and Hilarius Kachhap) have not been arrested. However, ED has interrogated these three accused several times.
In the charge sheet filed by ED in the PMLA court, it is clearly stated that Hemant Soren has acquired the land illegally. Not only this, Hemant had conspired to hide the evidence during the investigation of the case. Along with this, protection was also given to other accused.
During the investigation, ED also recovered the map of the land, which was found from the mobile phone of architect Vinod Kumar Singh. During the investigation of the case, ED also got a lot of information. The electricity meter connection was installed on the ground.
When ED questioned the electricity department about this, it was found that the connection was taken in the name of Hilarius Kachhap. Hilarius Kachhap has been made an accused for this reason. At the same time, former CM’s friend Vinod Kumar was going to get a big construction done on this land. For this he had talked to the former Chief Minister several times. Even its map was made. All these facts have been mentioned in the ED charge sheet.
